ALL FOOD VENDORS
In years past, the local MCHD inspectors has been present to check all documents and inspections are in
check. Below you will find information about selling any type of food products during the Azalea Festival.
Firstly, we are here to help you sell your products and wish everyone well during the festival. We do not
enforce or make the rules of the MCHD, but we all have to abide by them. All food vendors must have food
handlers permit for every person on site, plus On-site food vendors must have a ServSafe certificate, to my
knowledge.
For pickled items, jellies, sweet desserts, etc vendors you must complete the visit the MCHD and go through
the Cottage Food course and receive said permits. This course will tell you the items you can sell and what you
cannot. It will also give you examples on how to label each item. Visit www.MCHD.org for more information.
As far as the On-site Food Vendors, out of county vendors must contact the MCHD to be inspected and pay
applicable fees and receive the permits.
Please include what items are being sold on the application because we have to report all food vendors to the MCHD.
Thanks for your understanding and patience. Please address all questions and concerns to the MCHD, as we aren’t knowledgeable in that field.
